Found on the routers and RBS IP address/debug.htm web page for best details, please post both RBR and RBS uptime. Please note of any inconsistencies between the RBR and RBS. Generally the RBR and RBS uptime should be same. Home wide power brown outs should be noted if these are seen. Thank you.UPNP not successful Orbi 960
I’ve started having issues with my NAT type on my Xbox Series X. When I go to my network settings I see my NAT type as moderate and get an UPNP not successful. I’ve gone into my admin portal and made sure it was open there, tried port forwarding and that’s not working either. Any help is appreciated.RBR 750 router not connecting after spectrum outage (modem eu2251)
Yesterday after the outage my RBR 750 won't connect to the spectrum router therefore without internet. I followed the steps below and still did not help. Please suggest 1.) I did power cycle modem first then Orbi. Still no wifi. At this point wan port status was link/down with ip-addresss 0.0.0.0 2.) On the Orbi's DHCP side, I did the Computer MAC clone. Repeat step 1, Still no internet. 3.) Factory reset Orbi, and starting over from scratch. The very first step that tries to connect to internet fails. So I proceed setting up with out internet. 4.) Replaced with a brand new modem from spectrum and repeat step 3. Still no internet. 5.) Manually updated Orbi firmware to the latest 7.2.8.5 and repet step 1, still no internet. Orbi stays purple. But at this point I see the WAN port status reads as 1000/FULL. Earlier it was link/down. We made some progress. But WAN ip-addresss still reading 0.0.0.0 6.) As temp solution I hooked up to the modem to another router tplink be3600 first and from its lan I connected to the Orbi s WAN. Viola, Orbi is back in business. Modem hooks up to everything in the world except the Orbi after the outage. Like wise Orbi also. Spectrum did replace provision the router even that didn't help at some point, even that didn't help. Need help and fix this to have Orbi talk to the modem again like it was before the outage. Thanks in advance.SolvedI found that disabling all logging and then performing a full power cycle of my 963 system
I found that disabling all logging and then performing a full power cycle of my 963 system—a step I came across in the post linked below (which discusses BE systems)—resulted in a significant performance improvement in my setup, allowing me to have a mucher longer uptime before needing to reboot for system stability. I was also encountering a connectivity issue with certain devices after 5–8 days, which required a full system reboot to resolve. After disabling logging, that issue seems to have been resolved as well. I thought this might be helpful to share in case others are facing similar problems. https://community.netgear.com/discussions/en-home-orbi-be/orbi-be-series-troubleshooting-tips---reboots-and-crashes/2449415"Korea" in "Advanced Wireless Settings" page "RBKE963B"
Hello, As I mentioned in another thread, I am also seeing "Korea" listed on the Advanced Wireless Settings page, even though my other region settings are correct. I am running firmware "7.2.7.15" on my "RBKE963B". For context, I performed a full factory reset and set the system up from scratch immediately after the firmware update. I have attached screenshots of the UI below. Do you think this is something I should be concerned about, or is it likely just a harmless UI bug that I can ignore? I've been using my 960 in Router mode with two satellites backhauled over ethernet, and everything was working great. I could see the satellites in the attached devices. I switched over to using the main 960 to AP Mode, and I had to re-sync the satellites via wireless. They both showed up in attached devices, and got there configuration. However when I moved the satellites to the remote locations with an ethernet backhaul (same as before) they do not show up as attached devices. I can log into their IP addresses and they show they are working with connected devices, however the main 960 shows NO satellites. If I remove the ethernet backhaul, they show up again, and when reconnected to ethernet, they go away. If they are working, I guess this is fine however I assume they won't get automatic firmware updates since the main AP is no longer seeing them as connected. This seems like really weird behavior and I've done factory resets and the end result is the same. Interestingly my iPhone ORBI app DOES show them in the Network Map, just the Main's AP Attached Devices shows no Satellites in the Basic Home Screen, no on the attached devices and all are on the most recent firmware!RBKE960 "Refused to Connect" after IP reservation changes
This is a report of a newly encountered issue with my Orbi RBKE963 (1 router + 2 satellites) running latest 7.2.7.15 firmware: After making IP reservation changes/additions and router rebooting, the router refuses to connect to browser at the designated IP address, and Orbi phone app reports "We can't find your Orbi" or "Unable to connect to router" This issue was observed immediately after the IP reservation list was edited. System configuration: Router: Orbi RBKE963 (RBRE960 + 2xRBSE960) 7.2.7.15 firmware installed in router & satellites Router LAN IP address set to 192.168.0.1 Satellite #1 IP address set to 192.168.0.2 Satellite #2 IP address set to 192.168.0.3 Router DHCP IP address range set to 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.199 Client computers: ASUS ROG Strix Z690-I Gaming, and several other PCs with Gigabit/2.5G Ethernet Windows 11 Pro 24H2 64-bit or Windows Server 2025 Standard Edition OS Microsoft Edge browser in use Apple MacBook Pro 14" (M2 Pro) macOS 15.5 Sequoia Safari & Chrome browsers in use Client phone: Apple iPhone SE 3rd generation iOS 18.5 Orbi app installed Steps to Reproduce: On PC client connected to router via Ethernet, open a browser and verify proper access router admin via 192.168.0.1. Also verify Orbi phone app can access the router from phone. Navigate to LAN Setup -> IP reservations. Manually add entries to IP reservation list. Click Apply. Router will reboot. After router completes reboot, verify clients connected via Ethernet or WiFi have proper internet access Open browser to 192.168.0.1 again to access router admin page. Observe the error "192.168.0.1 refused to connect". Launch Orbi phone app. Observe error screen displaying "We can't find your Orbi" Note: Steps 3 & 4 may need to be repeated before issue occurs. Expected behavior: Router should continue to respond to browser at 192.168.0.1 or Orbi phone app Actual behavior: Router remains functional (Ethernet & WiFi) but browser & Orbi phone app both fail to connect to router for admin. Impact: Complete loss of admin ability with router refusing to communicate with PC or phone client attempting to access admin pages. Frequency: Occurs nearly every time the IP address reservation list is edited. Troubleshooting: Once this issue occurs, the only way I found to regain admin ability is to issue hard reset by holding down reset button on the router, then go through router setup and restore from backup file. "Refused to connect" will easily return again after any changes (especially additions) are made to the IP reservation list and the router reboots afterwards. I even tried making small IP reservation changes, rebooting router, saving a backup file, then repeating, but after about a dozen IP address reservations are added, after the router reboots the issue hits and I lose access to the admin pages and so cannot finish adding all the IP reservations I need. From what I can tell, this issue started occurring after router/satellite firmware got updated to 7.2.7.15. Issue was not observed with router/satellite running previous firmware 7.2.6.21 or older. I will thus claim that this issue is induced by a firmware bug newly introduced in 7.2.7.15. I have tried manually flashing the router with same 7.2.7.15 firmware but it made no difference. I have not tried flashing back to 7.2.6.21 but will consider doing so if it can restore persistent admin access.Using Wired Backhaul, the internet is slow and jittering
I have similar problem with RBSE960. Using Wired Backhaul, the internet is slow and jittering. On the Orbi Router portal is says Backhaul status = Good When i unplug the cable and Backhaul via 5 GHz, the jittering is gone. On the Orbi Router portal is says Backhaul status = Poor Yes, i have swapped cables, and yes the cables are new standard CAT6 from factory. The problem seem to have started when RBSE960 updated to firmware V7.2.7.15 Could faulty firmware be the problem?Firmware suggestion
Hello community, I have been reading the forums actively and read a lot of concerns. Here is my 2 cents, Use firmware version: 7.2.6.31 for the best experience and functionality. Please Netgear, I have the RBRKE964B x2 There's units are not cheap. I'm waiting for the next firmware release and will test and report.
