DC112A Failed to update GUI language file
I'm currently using the DC112A with the WAN port connected to a satellite modem (high latency connection - ping time 600 - 700 ms)
Netgear Genie shows my current Firmware version is V1.0.0.32_1.0.60 and that a router firmware upgrade is available.
The Firmware Upgrade Assistant shows:
Current GUI Language Version: 1.0.0.32_2.1.38.3
New GUI Language Version: 1.0.0.44_2.1.38.3
Current Firmware Version 1.0.0.32
New Firmware Version 1.0.0.44_1.0.60
When I press the 'Yes' button I get the following two messages:
Downloading and updating the language table, please wait for approximately one minute...
and then
Failed to update GUI language file
-- Any ideas how to fix this?

Please try again the firmware update and let us know of the result. This should be fixed by now.

I tried to update the firmware.
It indicates that a new update is available. When I choose to update, it comes to the stage where it updates the language file and fails.
I tried also with genie sw (for window pc): it failed too.

Engineering team provided the list of latest FW for DC112A:
DC112A-1TLAUS Latest FW is 1.0.0.42
DC112A-100EUS, DC112A-100NAS is 1.0.0.44
DC112A-1RDMES and DC112A-2RDMES for Oreedoo Latest FW is 1.0.0.42
DC112A-1Z1MES for Zain Latest FW is 1.0.0.42Kindly check again if you already have the latest firmware.

May I please have the device SKU? It can be checked on their end by checking the box of the product, on the barcode label, which should indicate DC112A-xxxxxx.

The fact that it will take over a month for your technicians to find a solution is not realistic and there is no real dialogue.
You have developed and sold the Smart Cradle, but you forgot the support somewhere along the way.Why is there, for example, no page where we can download these FW manually?

Give us an answer now! It is now six days since the Netgear Moderator latest post...
We get no answers, so the question is whether Netgear wants the hardware in return?The timeline with all the misleading answers from Netgear can only mean one thing - that it's hardware failure.
If there were only problems with the firmware, it would have been fixed a long time ago!

Hello, I try many times to updrade to the new firmware and it is always the same message as you have, but in french and the upgrade failed with the same problem. I hope that Netgear will provide us a solution quickly now. May be if we have the new language pack and firmware we can upgrade by ourselves.

i just cannot understand why they don't release the firmware to the download center so we can at least rule out a problem with delivery via the webUI. We were alerted to the security fixes in the firmware quite some time ago in a Netgear email campaign, and now they they have decided to actually push out what they said they did it doesn't even install.
I used to think Netgear's reputation was bulletproof from using their managed and smart switches, but now I'm not so sure.

... BUT it does not solve the problem of new version of user interface language.Current Version: 1.0.0.18_2.1.38.3
New user interface language: 1.0.0.44_2.1.38.3You always get the answer: The UI language file could not be updated
Also, this file needs to be available for download.

... But you actually sell a product called DC112A.Do you remember it?
The product is still sold, and cost me $ 330.

After much hassle, you have finally posted the firmware on your website to silence the criticism reasonably.But for most of us, the firmware does not solve all the problems.
We also need the language package and the new version is called: 1.0.0.44_2.1.38.3.The only problem is that the current language package cannot be updated: 1.0.0.18_2.1.38.3.
You get the answer that: "Could not update user interface language file".
Either you solve this - or you remove the new language file from your servers.
This is just embarrassing for Netgear, and hardly inspires any confidence.
Now I've had enough of Netgear's abusive support.
We will replace all equipment related to Netgear and change to another brand that cares about its customers.
