ReadyNASRemoteUpgrade.exe disables network adapter
I am just configuring a new ReadyNas and had set up ReadyNASRemote when it informed me I had to upgrade. I just downloaded and ran the upgrade but it modifies and disables the network adapter and I have to unistall it to get my network & the internet back. Not good Netgear...please fix this ASAP as it will not allow me to run the regular download without upgrading.

- densterAspirantSame here. Netgear solve it please.

However, I found a workaround. After the "upgrade" (...), I downloaded and installed the legacy Leaf Network Adapter Software from here:

Not ideal, but RNR should work until (hopefully) Netgear provides us with a proper solution... - BMachAspirantWhen will I ever learn - do not install updates until they are thoroughly tested
This week - I lost my netwrok connection after installing this update
last week - I lost the Rsync backups when I installed an update to restore the date and time information.
Not quite good enough as Katman saidBought many Netgear products over the years and still can't understand how this update wasn't more thoroughly tested. An update that won't function is one thing; quite another when it quite literally blocks your Internet acces - UscholdMAspirantSummary: if loading the leaf network adapter software brings back the Internet and gets RNR working again, isn't this an an ideal solution?
Details: Does downloading Leaf Network Adapter Software bring back the Internet connection? If RNR works, and if the Internet connection works, does this not effectively solve the problem? I'm not sure how this is not an ideal solution for those who upgraded and lost their connection. The other solutions offered bring back the Internet but not RNR.

Yes I confirm that this temporary solution works for the moment.
Running Windows 7 x64 - Windza1AspirantWhoa... same issues here - poor show NetGear; either someone didn't follow testing protocol or testing protocol is unsatisfactory. Is there any official response to this yet?

'Ideal' would consist of not having to perform this workaround in the first place.
'Ideal solution' would be NetGear repairing the upgrade package ASAP so users don't have to install RNR, uninstall RNR to regain internet access, research, download 3rd party software, install RNR again with the 3rd party software, then still wait for a repaired upgrade to install at a later date anyway (to be sure we're actually getting an 'Upgrade').... getting my drift yet? - stretchjrAspirantSame issue here....I had to run system restore to unhose my network setup to my wireless network...I am running Windows 7...
- DilasAspirantsame issue here
Win7 x64 - ParaselsiusAspirantI have the same issue also.
I tried the suggested workaround,
but then I get the leafnetworks login and my network starts working again,
but the ReadyNas Remote does not do anything at all.
When I click on the icon it only asks if I want to run this program and then it does nothing.
