Being registered to Readycloud is one thing. I want to know and you have yet to tell me, how did it shut off the Readycloud in the Admin section of your NAS units? You keep skirting around this question.
I don't see where @Gallowfire said it did that. Just that he needed to leave readycloud and then rejoin. I'm not sure any user could answer this anyway.
Are you asking someone else?

I have given some explanation about this. So the info already exists, nobody is "skirting around" the question. Do your research and you shall be enlightened.

Re: NAS offline ?
Hallo @Ed_Ammer,

I had posted some explanations, that coloatty rephrased, then I corrected his conclusion and posted the link to it in multiple threads...

Betreff: NAS offline ?

Re: NAS offline ?
Was soll das also hier?

Re: Cant access my http://readycloud.netgear.com site
Thank you @Gallowfire for the info. When I looked on my NAS, my ReadyCloud had been switched off. I don't know how that happened - it wasn't me! Anyway, I re-logged in and we have connection. But still can't connect remotely from my phone app. So I did the Leave thing and re-joined. I'm still disconnected though. Through experience, ReadyCloud is flakey and as such I don't use Home folders and I never trust Netgear to store my data in the cloud. I have my own backup system plugged in.
I'll try to connect when I'm away on a remote PC I use and see if it's fixed.

Re: NAS offline ?

Re: ReadyNas showing as 'offline' even though its online
Hello McGarnagle,
There has been a problem with ReadyCloud since March 30. Do you have ReadyCloud users that also have home folders?
Please see this post.
You may need to check if ReadyCloud is enabled on your ReadyNAS admin page.
Regards,

Re: User has been Auto deleted - all data lost
Netgear's handling of this is attrocious. Why do they create a fiasco in our systems and then leave it to a message thread of users to discuss and support each other?
They pretty much force their way into our IT with this stupid ReadyCloud, and then do a hideous job of it. We rely on their systems to be expert, but it is more like a newbie that has admin rights in our servers.
It really feels like they don't know what their doing and they don't care how it affects us.

You do realize this is a community forum right? You want a technical explanation of what happened? You got it. You want to cry out to NETGEAR, complain, raise legal threats, contact their Support.

Re: User has been Auto deleted - all data lost
My post to NETGEAR's facebook page keep getting removed. NETGEAR need to relase an official statement and tell users what they're going to do to help with this issue. They are treating this as if it was our fault. I tried reaching out to several tech blogs to see if the story can get traction.

Re: User has been Auto deleted - all data lost
I also lost accounts but the data is still there. I cant add new cloud users since the Netgear Readycloud website cant see my NAS (RN104) and says it is offline (it is not).
I can access the NAS using its local IP address but I had to reset the admin password.
Any suggestions ?
TIA
