Nighthawk Mesh Wifi 6 Router MR60 losing connection to 2.4 devices
I have a Nighthawk Mesh MR60 with the Satelite. About once a day, it loses connection to all the 2.4 devices on my network. It remains connected to the 5.0 devices. I have to reboot the router and it all comes back. This is getting quite annoying. Anyone have any idea or suggestions? I have already downloaded the latest firmware and have checked that both the router and the satelite have the latest version.

I also have a disconnection problem here. My mobile devices lose connection from time to time, whatever it is 2.4GHz or 5GHz, it happens once everyday. I tried to reconnect back and it took me few minutes. I have restarted the router and updated the latest firmware. The problem still borders me. Anyone has faced the simlar problem on the connection?

Hello bjhoag & teafortoday,
We recently released a new firmware for the Nighthawk Mesh System. Please update and let us know how it turns out.

is what is installed on the router. I had already updated this and the problem still exists. It happens every day or every other day. Ihave to reboot the router to get the 2.4 devices to reconnect.
- MchadinhaInitiateSame here. I downloaded latest firmware and all devices disconnect throughout the day. I’m getting very frustrated.
The problem still exists. Traffic meter hasn't been enabled yet. From the log of my router, is showed [DoS attack: ACK Scan] from source xxx, port xxx frquently when the network disconnected.
WHEN is was able to connect, I had checked the software/firmware version and it was current. This system constantly drops devices regardless of distance from the units. I bought it on 4/10/2020 and not that I'm outside the "90-day tech support" they want to charge me $50 to buy a "Technical Support agreement" to replace a warranty product! ABSOLUTELY pure robbery! I have reset both units multiple times and this did not resolve the issue. When I run the CAT line from the modem to the base unit I still get no internet. WHY is it so darn difficult to get a replacement for something that is FOUR MONTHS OLD??

Replacing the unit will not fix your problem, it is a firmware issue, I would recommend you to return it ASAP.
- Randyg08TutorI have the firware updated, no tracking, and the connection dropping issue still exists. The issue is common to many devices, LG G6, Kindle Fire, Chromecast. Please advise on next step.
I had MR60 for 2 weeks (it's not in the model selection list). Now every morning a few of my devices can't connect to the internet. Once I reboot the router, problem is solved. My router firmware is up-to-date. Can't think of anything else except eco this request. Netgear - if your dev team can't keep your dev quality and QA up to prevent memory leaks issues, etc., at least provide an auto reboot feature. There're posts requesting this feature for years. Your competitors have such features for years. What are you doing?!
- MchadinhaInitiateMaybe it’s time for Netgear to swap our hardware out. I work from home and have to take online calls everyday. I look like a fool when the signal drops. FIX IT!!

I can't believe these issues have not been resolved, I bought this router from Costco 2 weeks ago, and I'm planning on taking back on Friday, I was there this morning, and they told me that many people had returned it because of the same problem.
- Cochrane484InitiateYour lucky I bought this POS from Best Buy and it's outside the return window so now I'm stuck with it.

I'm in the same boat. Love the speed, but the dropping issue is driving me a bit crazy. Nothing has helped this issue. Not an RMA the router, not updating the firmware.... nothing. And this doesn't recognize my wireless printer that worked fine with my other netgear. And suddenly my ipad and smart tv are having major issues..... My family is ready to revolt. On a side note, anything I have connected to the LAN (wired) seems to be good.

Recently bought Netgear Mesh from Costco facing same issue.
Looks there is no solution for net dropping. Will return this crap today

I opened a support case:
Subject: Wifi unstable.Body: Im having disconnection issues like described (link to this forum thread)
Attached: Debug from the device...
Second mensaje: Im suffering disconnections, im attaching debug log after and before reboot.Message from support: Hello, can yo describe me the issue and give me your current firmware version?
Me: Really?
Also i checked and i saw that my first message was not having the link to this forum thread so i send this to them again. But i told them... this is not an isolate issue... you have plenty of people complaining about this. It cannot be that Netgear sells such a buggy device... (i was thinking that before this device)...

I am haing the same issue. I found that if I reboot the satalite it fixes the issue. That way I can still use the main router until the satalite is up an running. It seems that the older devices are the ones having issues connecting (ipads & chromebooks)

Dropping clients throughout the day. Mostly 2.4 but also some 5GHz.
Most will reconnect automatically.
Please fix this or I will have to return product and try another.
Same with the latest Firmware
Opened a ticket.
- I’m in the same boat. I’m ready to return it all to Costco this weekend. The satellites don’t stay up for very long, though the router always seems to stay online. After I reboot the router, the satellites will go blue for a short time before going amber. And, no, they’re not too far away. Both units are on the same floor in adjacent rooms. I did have them on different floors, but moved them because I thought there might be a connection issue due to distance. I don’t think there’s a hardware issue based on all the comments, so I’m not going to exchange them. I’ll just return them outright. I bought these because my AX8 died a couple weeks ago. It probably still has a warranty on it, but I wasn’t thrilled with the reliability of that either. I picked these up on a whim because I thought a mesh network would be the way to go, but maybe this product isn’t fully baked yet. If anyone know what I can do, please let me know.

I am also returned my Nighthawk Mesh Wifi. It kept driving my nuts that I had to reboot the satelite or router once a day. Got the Linksys MX10 and have not had any issues since.

I had the same problem but I found that I was ale to make the network much more reliable by disabling 20/40 MHz Coexistance. This is set in the web interface > Advanced > Wireless Settings.
- szuppoTutorShould have saved your money. I’ll never touch Neatgear Crap again. Two faulty MS 60 satellites that were replaced and today my MR60 is dead after attempting an update. Netgear response: too bad, you’ll have to buy a be Router. Sure, no problem. Won’t be any **bleep** you manufacture though.
- Anyone have a fix yet. I just bought this and it’s annoying. It’s even more annoying to return it and change all 28 devices in the house 🤷♂️
- I am in the process of returning this but before I do I need a replacement. I may just need a range extender. I went with this system because I wanted service all the way to the backyard and to the front. My regular service was fine but the distance was short. Thank goodness for Costco where returns of horrible devices are made easy

I just got this very expensive unit and I am having the exact same issue. Netgear REALLY needs to fix this ASAP. I use my network to work from home on highly critical systems and I cannot have these disconnects that require a router reboot.

Firmware version 1.0.4.96_2.0.41 just hit my router this morning but there are zero release notes on it. The website still shows 1.0.4.92. Is 1.0.4.96_2.0.41 supposed to address the disconnect issue?

Ive had the same problem. Firmware updated. Was losing conenction and was dropping.
Decided to try the hotfix on the site and it made the situation worse. Reverted to old firmware was a bit better but kept dropping every 10 minutes or so.
Got fed up and with 5 children in the house need reliable wifi so went out and bought a TPLINK for half the price and I have better range and stability.
Will call tomorrow with a case ID Unit is not even a year old.

I made some recommended configuration changes. Firmware update to this version and now issues are back. I rolled back my firmware to 1.04.92
