Hello,
I'am a bit frustrated cause I didn't succeed in configuring the switch for a small office.
The web-GUI seems to be buggy. It is not possible to tag/untag the ports/lags because it isnt't displayed at all. There is no graphical picture to select my choice.
I tried chrome/firefox/opera/safari.
The firmware is uptodate.
I also tried to do it through the hidden cli/mcli, but it was finally a waste of time.
Hours of useless google-searching ....
Can someone help me?
Best regards

Hi schumaku
thanks a lot for your support.
Finally it works with IE11 and "compatibility mode".
It is not realy smooth and time efficient but it works for most menues.
Only the lag-membership couldn't be activated, so I was not able to double the two ports vor 2GB to the NAS. I very often the menues freeze and you have to reload the page, but patience will be rewarded.
Best regards; Eli

Re: GS724TP Web-GUI don't display UNITS
The GS724TP is an elderly 10+ years old switch model. Or do we talk of the GS724TPv2? What firmware version?
Yes, I've seen some similar reports here in the community, this might be indeed a Web UI incompatibility with modern browsers. Or in a few case a problem with some Internet "security" software corrupting JavaScript. IE might be workable. With some more information (what you see or what you can't see - compare https://kb.netgear.com/29997/How-to-create-Layer-2-VLANs-on-NETGEAR-ProSAFE-Switches ) somebody from Netgear might be able to follow up and make engineering check the problem, and fix it.

Re: GS724TP Web-GUI don't display UNITS
Hello schumaku,
thank you for answering: yes, it's about the old one.
I already tried Firefox Version20, but no success.
I will try on old IE 🙂
Does anyone know how to do via mcli or isn't this possible at all?
(I already got a promt and changed the password through telnet.)
Best regards

Re: GS724TP Web-GUI don't display UNITS
@bradleyv @LaurentMa please ensure engineering is updating the still supported switches Web UI to be workable on modern browsers. To many customer sites have no more Windows, so no more Internet Explorer.

Re: GS724TP Web-GUI don't display UNITS
It is not a problem of IE. As I mentioned I even tried Firefox version 20.
To be honest I'am wondering how it could be, that NETGEAR doesn‘t provide an update for this switch.
24 GB-ports POE is not the worst one, it is still usable in smal business.
And: lifetime warranty, for what ??
Best regards

Re: GS724TP Web-GUI don't display UNITS
If we manage a moderator moving this thread to the appropriate Smart / Plus / Click Switches community section we will get the ability to tag the correct model and gain the attention required.
