ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
Hello,
We have about a dozen NAS ReadyNAS, half are model 2120 and 2120v2.
These models give us problems that make them unusable every little time: balance, defrag ... that last up to 22 days and with a load higher than 10 in the system, so the NAS are not operational.
We need to know what is the necessary configuration so that no problems (job scheduling, firmware version...)
These NAS worked correctly until they reached a particular firmware version: what is the reason they are no longer functional?
Greetings.

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
Hi alisys,
Would be best if we can see the logs of the units being affected.
How do I send all logs to ReadyNAS Community moderators?

Is there any guarantee that the logs will solve it?
Get these logs will take us work and time and so far they have not been useful.

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
Hi alisys,
The logs will help in determining what is happening with the ReadyNAS units.
If you are in a hurry, it might be best to get in touch with our phone support group to check what option do you have for a faster resolution.

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
FramerV provided a link to an article that explains how to do that in his first reply in this thread.

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
Can you please download the logs zip following the instructions and send those in? You can alternatively download the logs using RAIDar. There are logs in the logs zip that you can't get simply by creating an archive of /var/log

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
Raidar doesn't works. The NAS is fully load and only reply to ping.
Please, indicate the routes of the logs so that we can send them.

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
You can't download the logs from any of these systems?
If that's the case, then I suggest you use netgear support (my.netgear.com) instead of the community forum. They can access remotely.

Re: ReadyNAS 2120 crash every little
We have access to system logs by console. And we try to use netgear support before but the chat but it almost never connects, when it does it takes hours and the last time we did not respond to the last questions.
