With your Wifi 7 range of Mesh Wifi Systems, in a set-up with more than 1 satellite , will MLO Backhaul work with those Satellites NOT directly connected to the Router? i.e for those satellites in a Daisy chain wifi set up topography.37Views0likes1CommentSeparate network access
How do I configure my RBE770 so I can use one of the ethernet ports to run a line to a rental unit I have in the backyard - and so that renters using that will have internet access but not be able to see all my network devices. (note: unfortunately providing them guest access via wifi is not an option). I have the ethernet in place but you can see the printers, network drives, PCs, etc that are in the house from the rental unit. I would like to provide internet access but not provide access to my entire network. Can the 770 do that or do I need another device? Orbi770 user - does the IOT network option actually separate the IOT devises from the network by using a different subnet? Are there any downsides to enabling this network, like addl overhead? just curious if i should be using it. I do have about 21 things like cameras, doorbells, smart speakers, that i could put out on this network. I couldn't find anything in the support documentation that mentioned what ip addresses get assigned to the IOT network. they do claim it separates possibly compromised IOT devices, but not saying how.67Views0likes4CommentsOrbi 770 - Some Devices Lose Internet
I should preface this by saying I am not a computer or networking expert. I think I know just enough to be dangerous and be willing to do it msyelf instead of hiring someone. I recently upgraded to the Orbi 770 from an older Orbi setup. I have the router and two satellites. I put the satellites in the same location as the older ones. When it's working well, it's great. But my wife and son have complained about it lagging or them having trouble connecting from either her phone or his Playstation. I've noticed a few issues here and there, but it seems like it's really just some certain devices that struggle with connectivity. And our hardwired devices seem to work fine; it's only the WiFi. And I know it's not an internet issue, because some devices will be working just fine, like a TV streaming via WiFi or an Alexa device, but others are "connected" to the WiFi, but don't get any internet. If I reboot the Orbi, that normally takes care of it. Yesterday, I was working from home and trying to get on a Zoom call. The call would not connect for a good 10 minutes. Meanwhile, I know the internet was OK because my daughters were on their iPads and my wife was streaming something on the TV. Finally, I turned off the WiFi on my phone and the call immediately connected. I then connected my iPad to my phone's hotspot, and it suddenly worked fine also. Has anyone else experienced this? I had no problems with my old Orbi, I just upgraded because it was older and I was hoping to get some faster service. But now I'm tempted to toss the new Orbi and go back to the old. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thank you!51Views0likes1CommentRBE 770 satellites disconnect from internet
Hi all, I have two RBE 770 satellites connected via LAN cable to the RBE771 router. While the system was running stable over the last months I am experiencing since last week that there is no internet access possible via the satellites WLAN while it is available via the main router WLAN. The satellites show up as connected in the app and sometimes have internet, but then loose it without any apparent reason. When I reboot the RBe 771, I nhave internet for a bit via satellites WLAN, but it disappears quickly the . When connecting the LAN cable of one of the satellites directly to a computer, the same problem appears: first internet is available and then it disappears while the device shows as connected. This makes me think that the internet connection is ok, the satellites are ok, but that there is some problem in the LAN management? Any help would be appreciated.Orbi 770 satellites do not show up on network map even after turning blue

I have the Orbi 773. The Galaxy S25 work great with Wi-Fi 7 and where the reception is marginal, Wi-Fi 7 has a substantially stronger connection speed than Wi-Fi 6e. However, this seems to be a Samsung problem that the battery usage on Wi-Fi 7 is substantially greater than Wi-Fi 6e. If you have this problem, do a Google search on how to disable Wi-Fi 7 on the Samsung phone. You will also find many comments about this. Hopefully Samsung will come up with a fix.43Views0likes2Comments
