Is there a changelog for the new firmware? I'm curious if wired backhaul is working better. I could never get it working with the previous firmware.

Im sure the site will be updated soon...

Did NG ever turn on the Auto-Update on the FW??
Let us know if you experience any issues after updating FW.
Let us know if you apply the new FW and continue or if you factory reset the system and set up from scratch. Hopefully you can just update and continue, however if you seem to experience issue. Please try a factory reset if needed.

I have an issue. When this update happened it took longer for my sattelties to reconnect and when they did it first went to maggenta for a minute before blue. Also there is a bug or something but Now for 5ghz decives it will list the connection as unknown and connected to sattelite. Not really specfying. For wired and 2.4ghz its fine.
I think there is a bug in the new firmware. Even after I had to do a factory reset it still shows.
Please let me know if anyone else is getting this. My internet works but this is starting to make me irratated
- BenniePAspirantI have been having several issues with my devices (ring cameras, dell laptop, slow internet) and just found out the Orbi system updated before problems began. Please fix this soon!!

I need t reset to factory conditions and start over from scratch to get devices to switch to the satellite and also to stop showing the connection type as Unknown if they did show up on the statellite. All seems well now, though.

My system went from good backhaul to poor on my two satellites when upgrading. I had on star connection. Tried several things (normal what one would do) to no avail. Change to daisy chain and now backhaul was good. Previously daily chain gave me poor backhaul and star good for all the time I have had Orbi (about 11 months). For some inexplicable reason, the system now works better on daisy chain.

Success for who?
NG FW is never a 'one size fits all' situation.

The files for download for all Orbi's should be posted soon

Sounds like a factory reset and setup from scratch is needed after the system is updated to v210...
I would recommend to everyone factory reset the system after a FW update and set up from scratch. At least try this before attemping to revert back to prior FW or posting about it.

Yeah same bug happens to me, all 5GHZ connected to Satielle will show as Unknown even after a factory reset on both Router and Satellite
Is the system working?
What browser are you using? Try IE11, FF or Opera?

Did anything change regarding the status of the satellite backhaul? Previously I had always "Good" status, now after this update my status is stuck at "Poor" even after reboot. No furniture or anything in the house has been moved in months, now all of a sudden this is an issue.

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials.

Hmmm, mine have updated and now are wide open....192.168.1.1 requires no login, nowhere to set admin password - if i logout I'm still logged in. Will try factory reset in the morning to avoid alienating the family again tonight.
- I had this too. I had to factory reset to fix it.
Oddly I noticed a few times on my attached devices that it will show my satellites ad being off. Though a refresh shows them back on. It feels like there is quite a few bugs so far. - WoodsideDadAspirant
Have the same issue (though only on one satellite)
If you updated to recent FW v.210, try enabling Daisy Chain. Some have mentioned that this seems to be working in reverse order, enabling means disabled actually. Hoping NG support can have a look at this. So try this out as well.

Updated through the app. Working as before. RBR50 / RBS50 with wired backhaul.
- madhatterApprentice
so, does the wired backhaul work any better now?
Wired back haul has been working since v16.
Most of the issues are surrounding setup and use of managed switches, mainly IGMP protocols. If thats disabled, Orbi wired back haul works fine. Non managed switches are preferred. Also switches that have GREEN ethernet features also don't play well with Orbi. Sonos devices also wreak havoc on Orbi system too.
There is a process to set up up wired backhaul. Once it's up and running. it works well.
Been up and running since day one with ZERO issues:

As none showing for my RBR40/RBW30 RBK40, my satelite now refuses to connect to the router immediately after the update. Restarting the satelite and pressing the sync buttons seems useless. Everytime when there's a new firmware, it makes my life difficult.
I would do that BullyTerrier did:
Manual download of the img files and manual update plus factory reset then setup from scratch. Use IE11 or FF browser to send the FW files.

I have 16 different devices connected to Orbi, and if everytime the useless Netgear team decides to release a new firmware (which I cannot opt out or disable auto-update) and screws with my work, I am at their mercy. I am sick of this **bleep** every single time Netgear releases a firmware and things will go haywire.
With that aside, I really appreciate your advise FURRYe38, but I cannot even access the satelite (sorry not router) now through the ethernet cable. I am experienced in manually updating and doing the entire firmware update cycle, but this time, the satelite seems to be dead/bricked. Any advise?

Hi guys,
RBK30 here. Got the V2.2.1.210 for RBR40 and the V2.2.1.204 for RBW30 yesterday. Factory reset both router and satellite after the update and re-configured from scratch. The backhaul status says “poor” while it was “good” with V2.1.4.16.
The satellite is close to the router and also the speed test and latency are both fine when connected to the satellite. I believe that the satellite is misreporting the connection status rather than having poor signal. Same through the app – the satellite’s colour on network map is orange rather than green.
Also tried to downgrade the satellite to V2.1.4.16 but, as mentioned above, by the time it connected to the network, immediately upgraded to V2.2.1.204. Apart from these, everything else seems to be working OK. 10 devices in total (both wired and Wi-Fi)

Hi, thanks for replying. They are both on the same floor, about 30 feet away. Plaster walls so nothing is blocking the signal. Backhaul status has been “good” since day 1 on V2.1.4.16 so I think it’s related to the firmware since it’s started right after the upgrade.
Another thing I forgot to mention that makes me believe the satellite is misreporting, is the fact that when it connects to the router (both before and after the factory reset) it gets a solid blue light until the light goes away. Never saw, not even for a second the magenta-purple light.
