Interesting, it still does not show up here:
https://www.netgear.com/support/download/
I guess they haven't updated the site yet.
I have been running 2.7.0.70 since this past weekend, on 2 separate RBK50 systems. I've added up to 25 devices on both systems.
It is very stable and seems to give me faster network speeds. (examble, my S10+'s network speed was always around 585. Now it is constantly 700+. The WEB GUI and app and displaying everything correctly.
It shows for me while using rbk50...

It does not appear on "Firmware Update" on my RBR50 running 2.5.1.16. Perhaps this is related to whether a person has "gone past" 2.5.1.16 at any point?
Setting my timer today to consider updating Nov 1.

Definitley getting slower speeds with the update. May revert back.
Did you activate any Armor or Circle?
Try a factory reset and setup from scratch if you didn't try this already and see if you speeds return.
What speed differences are you seeing? Wired and wireless?

Armor and Circle are not activated. I have only tried wireless and I'm getting around 300 when I should be getting 400. I was getting 400 without issue with the prior firmware. I also disabled the Daisychain Technology and turned on Beamforming.

After updating to this version manually I am not longer able to login to my router. It says the password is incorrect. It was not reset to the default 'password' either. I guess I have to proceed to resetting the device.
Sadly this experiece is on par with the overall software quality I expect from Netgear.
- chrisk1AspirantSame exact thing happened to me. That’s what made me do the full reset.
Next time, try clearing all browser caches first before re-entering the RBRs web page. Try a different browser to compare.

RBR50 (Orbi Router) Firmware Version 2.7.0.70 (for US Region Only)
This restriction was added after I started using this version outside the US.
Although I believe it works fine, can I expect problems and would it be better to move to version 2.5.2.4?
Thanks for any advise.

Upgraded last week. I just found out the router doesn't show most of the devices in attached / connected devices in app or on the webpage. I thought this issue was resolved?

Looks Like the Site caught up. This FW is now listed for RBK50, RBR50, and RBS50 for people in the US.
Thanks. :smileywink:

How many devices do you actually have connected?
Are they all connected at the same time?
Might try a factory reset and setup from scratch.
Is RBS wired or wireless connected to the RBR?
Any Armor or Circle enabled?

A reboot last night resolved the issue. I have 15-20 devices with circle enabled. I think there might be a small

Did this firmware remove the original Circle parental controls? I need to be able to limit access to sites per device and it appears that is now only available with a premium subscription. I used to do it before this upgrade, but I was one of the people experiencing the dreaded Wifi drops when Circle was enabled.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Netgear published a link to these new "Smart Parental Controls" so that customers could (for example) (a) see what they are getting into, or (b) compare Netgear's package with Disney's package?
Dream On. Looks like the only way to get information is to sign up and experience "whatever happens". Then, post on the community forum for Smart Parental Controls. Oh wait, there is not a forum for the new product.
For posterity and FYI, for those users with switches in between the RBR and RBS, two or more switches in daisy chain, will find that with v70 loaded on the RBR in AP mode and RBS, the RBS when ethernet connected will or may experience an ARP storm on your network and or bad behavior on the Orbi system. I have since downgraded back to v16 and do not experience this problem. Information has been passed to NG support for review and has been made aware.
I didn't get a chance to test out router mode on the RBR...
Otherwise v70 seemed to work well.
FYI for users out side of the USA and Canada region wanting to use v70 FW:

So, my RBR50 and RBS50 finally pulled down firmware updates today (Oct 6), but pulled down 2.5.2.4, not 2.7.0.70. I am currently on 2.5.1.16 and am in the United States. Does this seem normal?
Yes. Not everyone may see v70. This one was directed towards a new kind of parental and Circle app controls. Users can apply this if you want too. However if you don't use Circle, I would probably avoid it.
