Canvas Says Offline
Hello
My canvas is not coming online, I am connected to the network, however upon checking on the computer is says status offline.
The app on the phone will not sync. I makes the connection to my network but the phone and canvas won't synch.
I have done the factory reset multiple times today, and nothing has helped, tried even opening a new account, nothing seems to help.
Please help me bring the canvas back online. My network is working well, I've tried reseting the network on canvas, removed, added, nothing helps.
Is there any other way? Is nether system offline?

what modem/gateway do you have?
What router is the canvas connected to?
Does the canvas connect to a phone's hotspot and show online?
- Ak-LexApprenticeIt’s on my home network, Asus Router I’ve always used on it, Meural says full wi-fi bars and connected to my network, however it’s showing offline.
I called customer service, explained to them and they said if I wanted to do a “special troubleshooting” I would have to buy extended warranty. It’s so unfair because my Meural doesn’t seem to be broken, and seems to be a software issue on network.
I did try using my iPhone as a hotspot and problem persisted, meaning it’s not a network problem on my end. Please help. I can’t have this bricked on me like this.- plemansGuru - Experienced User
1. what asus router?
2. what modem is the asus connected to?
3. is the asus using any type of access control/security that could potentially block?
4. did you try a factory reset on the canvas?
- SlockeInitiateHaving the exact same problem it appears to be nothing related to the router but appears to be on Netgear's side. Looks like their server will not let the canvas connect.

- Ak-LexApprenticeThat’s how I feel too. I feel like they blocked us and they are making us buy extended warranty to have it fixed! We should have that checked! There’s no reason for it not to be working.

Same problem. I can ping the frame so I know its online and my internet connection at the house is fine, but the frame says it's offline. Started two days ago. Looks like NetGear pushed a bad server build and hasn't figured out how to fix it yet.

I use mine for events. Had our IT department send a tech to the office to check out the wifi to make sure all was in order. Yup. Tried connecting to our three different wifi networks, plus hotspotting off his phone. All wifi networks are strong (and other devices connect without issue).
The devices worked fine on September 20. Not on September 21. What did Netgear do that day to change things?

I have noticed that the frame will say Offline, but if i go to membership and choose a picture, it will load quickly on to the frame. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will roll over onto the pictures that I add myself.

I come here from a quick google search, my canvas has also said offline and cannot connect from within the meural app the last few days (at least 3 days). I've tried different wifi networks and resetting the wifi and re-adding it.

Is there an ETA? Any workarounds? Mine has been offline all week. Its fall and I would love to change the pictures to fall / Halloween themed!

Mine as of this morning is back in Idle/online mode. Just noticed that a playlist I sent to it yesterday finally made it to my Canvas. I did try the Wifi reset/clear but that didn't do anything initially and didn't bother resetting it once I came across this thread.
Hopefully others here eventually see theirs online 🤞

Weirdly, my newer Canvas, bought 2022, is still connecting to the app, but my older 2nd generation one, bought 2017, stopped connecting like other people in this thread a week or so ago. Both are connected to the same wifi with strong signal.

My canvas re-connected to the Meural app on my iPhone last night, and this morning it has reconnected through the Netgear/Meural website on my laptop.
There is hope!

I have an old Canvas and a much newer one. Both canvasses are connected to wifi with good signal. The app on my phone and laptop have just started saying that the older canvas is offline but the newer canvas remains online. The Orbi modem app shows that both canvases are connected to wifi with strong signal. I have tried re-booting the modem. I have tried disconnecting the canvas from wifi and reconnecting. Still the app won't connect to the canvas. i have tried clearing all connections and setting up new wifi. Still the app won't connect to the canvas. How do I get it to reconnect? Thanks

Further to my post, I think the app stopped connecting with my canvas after I updated the app on my iPhone. I am now wondering whether my old Canvas (2nd generation bought 2017) is no longer supported by the updated Meural app. So I wonder if this is Meural's way of trying to force me to buy a new canvas...
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround?
