NIGHTHAWK APP DEVICE MANAGER WONT SHOW DEVICES GIVES Sorry, the action was failed. Please try again
Everything else on the app seems to be working but when I try to see the devices connected I get the error message stating "Sorry the action was failed. Please try again."
Firmware is the most current, which has also caused problems. Everytime I reboot I have to reset the router or it won't find the interent connection. Sometimes unplugging and plugging the internet connection back in works.
Using the iOS app.

Hi all, welcome to the community! If you've just recently updated the firmware of the router, we recommend doing a factory reset if you haven't yet. The link below may help.

Once the setup has completed, you can try and reinstall the app and let me know if the issue will persist.

Issue still persists for me.

- dpwellerGuideDeleted the app. Did a factory reset. Re-installed the app and the problem is still there.

Hi
Same problem here. I bought it last Friday, installed it the same day and all appeared fine, the firmware version was V1.0.0.206 and it automatically updated to V1.0.0.210 although this did not happen smoothly!
The problem I have is intermittent, yesterday morning it found 6 devices 4 on 5 GHz and 2 on 2.4 happy days - or so I thought! However to get that far I’ve had to factory reset three times. While it was fine during the day by the evening nothing. Worse still it wouldn’t open the device part of the App, it wouldn’t do a speed test or much else really. I turned the WiFi off and then back on again and while the allowed me to click on Device Manager and the enter the device list it was still empty and also the speed test unavailable. BTW I’m only using the speed test as a method of seeing what’s available within the system.
So there we are NETGEAR it looks like someone somewhere hasn’t thought things through, causing your customers frustration and many wasted hours! Either it get sorted or it gets returned because I’ve got better things to do that reset Nighthawk every five minutes.
I’m using IOS
Cheers Tony

When I go to the "Device Manager" tab, it comes back "No devices found!," which is strange since you have to be connected to even get this message.
This worked for me at one time. I don't know what happened. I did do the factory reset after I installed the latest firmware (v1.0.1.100).
Also, when I go to the "Support" menu, I get "No records found!" So the very mechanism I'm supposed to use to get support for this issue, is itself incapacitated due to some issue. Horrible!
Has anyone figured this out apart from a firmware downgrade?
- PigletRiderApprentice
Has anyone gotten the "Device Manager" tab to actually show any connected devices using the v1.0.1.100 firmware, the latest Beta firmware? I'm on an iPhone 7 Plus running the latest iOS software (v13.2.3).
The Web GUI will show the 27 connected devices. The app on my iPhone shows "0" connected devices.
- jrmcqTutorNighthawk Firmware V1.0.1.50_1.0.35 STILL cannot see any devices in device manager. Factory reset, reinstalls, latest IOS updates, reboots, rollbacks, have done it all. Terrible app support.
- DbboyAspirantNetgear please get your stuff together. The app is broken, who the heck is programming this stuff? You can’t even make a proper English sentence. “The action is failed” wtf? Come on, get it together.
I have the same issue on my xr500 with firmware V2.3.2.56. What is the ETA on a resolution?
- dpwellerGuideSame issue here as well. Since version 2.4.24.1 of the iOS app, device manager doesn’t work. I have not updated my router firmware so the only thing that changed was the NH App.
Please don’t ask me to create a support ticket because I did that over a week ago and your support people closed it even after I jumped through the hoops for them. Jerks!- dpwellerGuide

Same here it's so annoying .
So how do I get the older version for my IPhone?
- JJB651GuideGood afternoon,
I have an MK63-100NAS I would like to know why on nighthawk app under device manager, all of my device that are connected show one signal bar? I’ve moved the router to a another location, restart it, reboot it, install & uninstalled the app nothing seems to resolve the issue. I’ll attached a picture for you to see.
Regards,
Jairo- dpwellerGuide
Because the app sucks. Don't waste your time trying to figure it out.
- JC_Hammer22InitiateJust updated the app and says I have no devices connected when clearly I do ... you had one job Nighthawk app just one
- JJB651GuideI have the same problem no device connected and it’s very slow after updating the app. NETGEAR PLEASE WE NEED A UP TO DATE APP!!!!
- The app won’t let me log in anymore. Still can log in through app on iPad that I did not upgrade.
- seeilerGuideSame...I got on the app to turn a device on and it said it needed to be updated so I did and now my device shows connected with problems and no devices show as connected on the app. I’ve tried powering off and on, logging in and out, but so far nothing has helped. This is absurd. I wasn’t having any issues until I did the update on my phone.

I am so over with Netgear. I also was forced to upgrade the Nightawk app and immediateli all connected devices were remove. I did a factory reset on the router, uninstalll and re-install the app and the same issue is being repeated. I am ready to pull my hair out because it is one issue after another. The funny part about the support team, everyone has a different resolution, which i think is a trial an error tactic that is being used. Lets give a resolution and it if fixes the issue whoop-de-do. Netgear, I need my connected device to display on my app.
Frustrated,
Appleg
This is not the first time this has happened. I wish I had remembered to check first.

Issue with Nighthawk App iOS version 2.5.0.47, on app Device Manager shows No device found! Before Nighthawk App updated to this version 2.5.0.47, Nighthawk App showed Device Manager devices. After App updated, it is not working on any iOS device. Can't revert to order version Nighthawk version, which was working before App update. Updated iOS device OS, same issue. Tried on NOT updated Nighthawk iOS device and still works until App updates. It is the Nighthawk App update the issue. AC2100 Device have the latest firmware update and Nighthawd App previous version Device Manager on App was working. It is not the AC2100 device firmware. Netgear needs to revise Nighthawk App for iOS and fix it. the only reason why I use and like Nighthawk App is that I can see the connected devices on any iOS device and Android device. I haven't checked on an Android device to see if there is the same issue with the Nighthawk App.
- seeilerGuideI’m hoping for some resolve soon and will likely only get answers from those of you that still have support. My router is past the date of any support options so I can’t get help from them. Glad I’m not alone, but this is super annoying!
- VadaPavAspirantbasic things does not work for thousands of buyers so wondering what is going on and no device found is very frustrating as already we wonder which device and even earasing device names and now no device at all found?

Model R7200 Nighthawk App IOS Version 2.5.0.47 - Device Manager - No device found!
Tested Nighthawk App Version 2.5.0.47, Device Manager works and it is confirmed on Android devices. It shows all devices.
Nighthawk App IOS Version 2.5.0.47 - Device Manager - No device found! It NOT WORKING on any iOS devices or OS versions.
Netgear needs to address this issue.. It is a problem only shown on the latest Nighthawk App version. Does matter what firmware version or WIFI router, at least on the ones that I tested.

- TremacAspirantI have the Netgear07 router and after the latest update this morning, I haven’t been able to manage my devices. It keeps saying no devices found. Please help.
- Ll627proAspirantI just updated nighthawk to version 2.5.0.47. Device manager no longer detects any device. Reboot router, reinstall app does not help. Called tech support and he needs to get on my computer. Rejected.
- seeilerGuideObviously it’s an app issue so you’ll have to use a different route to control devices. In my situation, I had the fire stick turned off and then updated the app and could no longer see connected devices on the app or have the ability to manage them. I used the routerlogin.net page to access my router info and it showed me all of my devices so I was then able to unblock and allow my fire stick access. I’ve at least been able to manage my biggest concern which was being able to use the internet on my devices, however the app is still messed up so hopefully they will get to fixing any issue soon. At least I can use the internet on my devices now.

Just did the netgear nighthawk firmware update this morning because I kept getting an urgent message every time I opened up the app on my phone. Now it shows 0 devices connected to our router. But there are obviously a lot of devices connected. I really need to disconnect a few of those devices so my kids don't waste their life away in front of a screen. HELP! (I rebooted the router and deleted and reinstalled the app - neither worked)
- seeilerGuideUse routerlogin.net and admin for user and your password, this is for the router not your app. I was able to view devices this way and allow or block access through it.
